Hello! This is Kasahara from Nishida Service.
We recently received a request from a customer in Totsuka Ward, Yokohama, to remove a bunk bed that had been used in their home for many years.
The bunk bed had been shared by the customer’s daughters, who slept in it together from the time they were very young. It must have been a treasured piece of furniture, filled with memories of the days they slept side by side and the years they watched the girls grow.
For that reason, the family had considered keeping at least the shelf section for continued use. However, they told us that the shelf alone would not be stable enough, so they decided to let it go as well.
Furniture that has been used for many years holds more than just practical value. It carries a family’s memories and precious time together. That is why, at Nishida Service, we do not treat the furniture we collect as mere unwanted items. We work with care, respecting the feelings of customers who have cherished these pieces over the years.
For this job, we carefully dismantled the bunk bed and carried it out, taking great care to protect the surrounding areas. Large furniture such as bunk beds can be difficult to remove as they are, so the work requires careful consideration of the width of stairs and hallways, as well as the layout of the home.
